“Pitch-By-Pitch” Benefit for Random Access Music

A highlight of the evening, the concert will include the world premiere of David Alan Broome's quirky solo piano piece To Touch performed by the composer himself. Clarinetist Thomas Piercy returns with another exciting performance of Gilbert Galindo's virtuosic and howling work Lost in the Caves for bass clarinet and electronics. Cellist Kate Dillingham will present David Fetherolf's ...e io li tenni dietro, a solo work for cello in 6 movements that David wrote for her ranging in style and character from aggressive to contemplative, through Samavedic chant to Macedonean folk music and back. It is featured on a CD entitled CROSSINGS; new music for cello that was released earlier this year.
